The victim is 5-year-old Pradeline Delinois. On 8/18/22, officers with the Capitol Heights Police Department responded to the 5100 block of Cumberland St for the report of an unresponsive child. Delinois was rushed to a hospital in DC, where she was pronounced dead

Constitution Ave closed off. This stems from a shooting this morning. three suspects were taken into custody including a juvenile. The juvenile was also in possession of a firearm. No reported injuries
17th street between Constitution and Independence Avenues is also closed right now. Park police tell three people are currently in police custody being questioned. They have not been arrested. Shots were fired into cars parked on Constitution Ave just after 1 this morning
