Incident: At approximately 1:20 p.m., a loose dog charged at officers in the 2300 block of 25 Street, SE. One of the officers discharged their service weapon, striking the dog. The dog was pronounced dead. Members of the Force Investigations Team are investigating

Fatal shooting-- behind the 1400 blk 18th St SE (Fairlawn Ave and P St SE). Dcfd and Mpd arrived on scene and found an individual showing no signs of life and a large amount of blood inside of the vehicle. A blood trail was also found indicating a second person was here.
EARLY MORNING Homicide SHOOTING: 1400 Bl. of 18th St. S.E. @DCPoliceDept on scene investigating a shooting with an adult male pronounced dead on scene from gunshot wound injuries. H/T @alanhenney MPD units are investigating a shooting in the 1400 block of 18th Street, SE. No lookout at this time.
Fatal shooting-- behind the 1400 blk 18th St SE (Fairlawn Ave and P St SE). The initial report was an auto crash, but first responders found a dead occupant in the auto with significant blood. Search is underway for a second person, possibly injured, who fled this scene.
Per MPD spokesperson:
At approximately 1:50 a.m. Third District officers responded to the 2200 block of 8 Street, Northwest for the report of a shooting. One adult male and one adult female were located in that block, both suffering gunshot wounds. Both victims have been transported to area hospitals for treatment. No useable suspect lookout of available. Third District detectives are on scene handling this case
