Metropolitan Police are investigating a double shooting early Wednesday morning in Northwest Washington that left two people hospitalized. Officers responded to the area of 6th Street and H Street NW, where they located two individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to area hospitals for treatment.

The Metropolitan Police Department told DC News Now that the officers were dispatched to the area minutes after 4:30 a.m. on July 6. There, officers located a man who had been shot.
