Deputies & medical staff found Mr. Thompson unresponsive in his cell at 3:06p & began immediate resuscitation efforts before Arlington Fire & Rescue units arrived on scene at 3:13 p Mr. Thompson was transported to Virginia Hospital Center and pronounced deceased at 4:24 pm

Homicide SHOOTING: MPD has stated the individual transported with critical gunshot wound injuries has been pronounced dead. This is a homicide investigation, and that person information will be released once next of kin is notified

2 year agocall just after 6 for report of stabbing and a shooting. Found man who was shot. Thus far, appears targeted. Man sitting on retaining wall on M street and was shot. Not sure why shooting happened. Believe suspect suffered some injury
