D.C. police are investigating an assault near McPherson Square Park as a suspected anti-Asian hate crime after they say a man threatened three people, used a racial slur and threw a brick through their car window, injuring two of them
DC firefighters responded to a vehicle fire at Anacostia Ave & Ord St at 4:24 AM on Sunday, 8/21. A fully involved vehicle had extended to a combustible outdoor structure it was parked under. Two units extinguished the blaze. Investigators were requested to the scene. No injuries

Box Alarm 1600 block 17th St NW. Large exterior fire against rear of 3 story commercial building has been extinguished. DC firefighters gained entry to structure and found no extension. Fire under control with no injuries

Constitution Ave closed off. This stems from a shooting this morning. three suspects were taken into custody including a juvenile. The juvenile was also in possession of a firearm. No reported injuries
17th street between Constitution and Independence Avenues is also closed right now. Park police tell three people are currently in police custody being questioned. They have not been arrested. Shots were fired into cars parked on Constitution Ave just after 1 this morning
