First District officers responded to the 1900 block of C Street, Southeast for the report of a shooting. A 17-year-old male was located suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body. DC Fire and EMS transported the victim to an area hospital where after all lifesaving measures failed, he was pronounced dead. Homicide detectives are handling this case.
