1 week agoKMN On Scene has learned that the vehicle believed to be connected to Wednesday’s homicide shooting in the 1300 block of 5th Street NW and the July 28 shooting at Hamlin Street and 8th Street NE has been recovered. According to sources, the white Honda was located unoccupied Thursday night in the Fifth District (5D) after officers received a License Plate Reader (LPR) hit that placed the vehicle near O Street NW earlier in the day.

Metropolitan Police are investigating a stabbing reported early Wednesday morning in Southeast Washington. The incident occurred in the 4300 block of 3rd Street SE. Police are searching for a Black male who was last seen wearing all black clothing.
Metropolitan Police are on the scene investigating a critical shooting at 3 New York Avenue NW. An individual was located in the intersection suffering from gunshot wound injuries. CPR was in progress as the victim was transported to an area hospital. The shooting occurred within walking distance of an earlier shooting in the 1200 block of North Capitol Street NW, where an adult male was found conscious and breathing with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.
