DC firefighters Engine 22 & Truck 11 hosted a contingent of @girlscouts at their Shepherd Park firehouse on Georgia Ave NW, where these inquisitive young ladies learned about our equipment and the services provided to the community

SHOOTING-- man found in the area of 7th St and N St NW DC with a NLT gunshot wound. He is conscious but not helping with suspect info or crime scene location.
CRITICAL SHOOTING-- Man drove to the Engine-30 firehouse at 49th St and Central Ave NE DC with gunshot wounds. He was last reported as semi-conscious, being taken to a trauma center. Unclear where the crime scene might be at this point
Reopening the Capitol complex has been hampered by officer staffing shortfalls. The Capitol Police Board said the security contractors will help address the problem and help to fully reopen the campus
Vehicle struck by gunfire and child injured after shots were fired on the 3100 block of Naylor Rd SE at 2:14pm. This is a non-contact shooting. The child suffered a minor injury; unknown how the child was hurt
Box Alarm 5300 block Conn. Ave NW. DC firefighters located & removed a cat to safety from the fire apartment. Cat is doing OK with 8 lives still to go. Smoke removal and clean-up operations completed with no injuries. Once again, sprinklers proved their worth
